O motivo principal da minha ida aos Estados Unidos era a minha lua de mel. Mas também aproveitei o passeio para me divertir e trazer inspiração em dobro na bagagem. Nada como uma boa viagem para turbinar nossa rotina com criatividade e energia. E NY não decepciona, que cidade linda! Ainda mais agora na primavera, a big apple estava cheia de little flowers – tulipas de todas as cores e cerejeiras maravilhosas. Mas admito: eu andava tão estressada que convenci meu marido a darmos um pulinho na Disney também, hihi. Clica aqui para ver o post completo, com algumas fotos que fizemos por lá.

The main reason I went to the United States was my honeymoon. But I also used the opportunity to relax, have fun and bring inspiration home with me. Nothing like a great trip to boost our creativity and energy. And NY doesn’t let us down, what a lovely city. Specially in the spring, the big apple was filled with little flowers. Se você está lendo este post, significa que eu já estou casada e embarcando para minha lua de mel. \o/ Agradeço de coração aos amigos e familiares que estiveram presente na nossa festinha que foi singela mas especial. (e peço desculpas mais uma vez por não poder chamar todo mundo! a festa saiu do bolsinho dos noivos, e por isso tivemos que maneirar na lista, espero que entendam). Estarei de férias do dia 11 ao 26 de abril, passeando por miami, orlando e ny, me entupindo de junk food americana #vaigordinha. Mas dia 27 já estou de volta com a corda toda aqui no homeoffice!

If you’re reading this post, it means that I’m already married and off on my honeymoon. Our little party was so fun, and I would like to thank all my friends and family that were able to be here and share this special day with me and Thomas. I’ll be ‘honeymooing’ on miami, orlando and ny, from april 11 until the 26th, hopefully eating all sorts of junk food! #fatty. But on the 27th I’ll be back on my homeoffice, ready to work!

Vou me casar!

Sim amigos O dia que ninguém esperava chegou: Eu e o Thomas (meu namorado há 7 anos) decidimos nos casar. Vai ser uma cerimônia pequena, praticamente somente para familiares, em um domingo, durante o dia. Apesar de termos decidido fazer algo bem simples, eu me dediquei bastante em fazer uma decoração e comunicaçao visual bem especial para o evento. Por isso que nos últimos meses o blog ficou um pouco abandonado. O casamento será daqui algumas semanas e depois viajamos em lua de mel. Yay! Quando voltar mostro todo o making of da programação visual da festinha.

I’m getting married! Yup folks, after dating for long seven years me and my boyfriend Thomas finally decided to tie the not. It will be a small ceremony, only for our family in a sunday morning. Although we decided to make a simple party, I created a cute decoration/visual communication for the event. That’s why the blog was so slow in the last months. The wedding will be in a few weeks, and then: honeymoon. Yay! When I get back I’ll post here the whole making of for the the party visual designs.

Criei esta ilustração ano passado para o header de um site de moda (a marca estava usando os temas doces e mary poppins na coleção). Nhamm! E aí, quem ganha a briga: a velha e boa lapiseira ou a super tablet? Deixe seu pitaco. Ps: ilustrações muito horizontais não cabem nesse blog. Humpf!

Eu amo conhecer o que influencia e inspira meus ilustradores e pintores favoritos. E acho que esta curiosidade é universal, pois sempre que respondo uma entrevista para um estudante, blog, revista, livro, essa pergunta está sempre lá: “O que te inspira?” Ano passado falei um pouco sobre isso em um post para o blog Amenidades do Design, e achei legal postar por aqui também. I love getting to know what inspires my favorites painters and illustrators. And I believe that this is an universal curiosity, because everytime I answer an interview for a student, blog, magazine, book, this question is always there: “What inspires you?”. Eu sou daquelas pessoas que sofre em comprar presentes. Tudo isso porque eu quero tanto tanto tanto agradar e acertar em cheio, que entro em crise para conseguir escolher algo. Mas esse ano eu decidi que em vez de ficar igual uma louca pelos shoppings lotados eu mesma criaria meus presentinhos! Criei poster, botton, chaveiro, agendas, caderno, xícaras de porcelana, xícaras em acrílico, camisetas… Detalhe para o super kit que fiz para minha afilhada Rafaella – que virou a Raffy Potter – com milhões de coisinhas fofas personalizadas pra ela. Coloquei tudo numa caixa bem colorida e dei junto com um super livro do Harry Potter (que eu queria pra mim, hahaha) Adorei a experiência, me senti muito feliz fazendo as lembrancinhas e acho que o pessoal gostou bastante de ganhá-las. Me empolguei tanto que no começo de 2011 quero fazer um kit e sortear aqui no blog! O que acham?

This year I decided that instead of spending hours and hours in a crowded mall, I would create my own xmas gifts! I made posters, pins, keychains, journals, notebooks, mugs, t-shirts… I went crazy and did a super cute kit to my neice Rafaella – aka Raffy Potter – with lots of personalized cute stuff. I placed everything inside a colorful box, with a cool harry potter book (that I wanted for myself lol) I loved the experience, I felt very happy making the little gifts and I believe that everyone liked them. I got so carried away that in 2011 I’ll make a kit to give away to a few lucky readers. What do you think?

Passando rapidinho aqui pelo blog, para desejar a todos um natal bem colorido e um divertido 2011! Esse ano foi bem especial para mim: site novo, me estabelecendo como freelancer oficialmente, vários projetos legais, montando a casa nova, entre outras ótimas novidades que deixarei para uma próximo post #suspense. 2011, tenho certeza, vai ser melhor ainda para todos nós. Just a quick post, to wish everyone a colorful xmas and a fun 2011! This year was really special to me, with the new site, becoming an official freelancer, lots of cool projects, building my new home, along with some other great news that I’ll save for a special post #mystery I’m sure that 2011 will be even better for all of us. Thanks to everyone that stopped by to read my posts, criticized my projects, and helped me become a better person and  professional everyday. You guys rock!

Você sabe que seu ano foi corrido quando você só arruma tempo no final de dezembro para colocar no portfolio um trabalho que fez no começo de janeiro! Mas isso é bom sinal, significa que meu primeiro ano oficialmente como freelancer foi bem produtivo O projeto que eu cito no título do post foi feito para um restaurante de comida brasileira daqui de Santa Catarina. Eu fiz a Programação Visual completa: marca, ilustrações, sinalização, papelaria, grafismos, manual de identidade visual, etc… Coloquei algumas imagens do resultado final lá no meu portfolio. You realize that you had a crazy busy year when you find the time only in december to post a project that you made in january! But that’s a good sign, right? It means that my first year as an official freelancer was very productive “Restaurant Samba” was a project made for a brazilian food restaurant, where I did the whole visual communication: the brand, the illustrations, packaging… I posted some images of the final result into my portfolio, check it out!
